How the application guarantee works

Edited

The deal

Send 20 qualifying applications. If none of them leads to an interview, we pay you £50 GBP or $70 USD.

You can claim this once. It is a one-off guarantee. You are only eligible if you see the guarantee offer in your account and it is not available to everyone.

There is nothing to opt into. The counter runs on your jobs page from your first application.

What counts towards your 20

An application counts when it is sent through Shoutt and your score is 4 or higher after you tailor your CV / resume.

That last part matters, because the score on your opportunities feed can differ from the score at the point of applying.

A counter at the top of your dashboard shows how many qualifying applications you have sent and how many are left.

What counts as an interview

Any of these ends the claim, because any of them means an employer wanted to see more of you:

  • An AI interview, screening call or video screen

  • An assessment, test or take-home set by the employer

  • A conversation with a recruiter, hiring manager or the team

Why wait two weeks

When you hit 20, the £50 / $70 does not unlock straight away. It unlocks two weeks after your 20th application, and your dashboard page shows the date.

The reason is that employers are slow to respond. An application sent on Monday might sit in a queue for ten days before anyone opens it, and plenty of interview invitations arrive in week two. Paying out on day one would mean paying for roles that were still live.

If an interview comes through during those two weeks, the claim closes. If nothing comes through, the button turns on.

How to claim

The banner at the top of your jobs page tracks the whole thing, so you do not need to count anything yourself.

  1. Below 20, it shows your progress and how many applications are left.

  2. At 20, it shows the date your £50 / $70 unlocks and the days remaining. The claim button is there but not yet active.

  3. On the unlock date, if no interview has come through, the button turns on and you can claim.

Claiming takes one tap. We review the claim, and if everything is in order we process it within 7 days.

The £50 / $70 comes as a Tremendous voucher, sent to the email address on your account. From there you choose how to take it: PayPal, Amazon, Walmart and hundreds of other retailers, plus a range of other options. You pick at the point of redeeming.

Applications have to be real ones

This only works if the 20 applications are genuine. That means roles you would actually take, in the kind of work you are looking for, applied for with a CV and cover letter you would be happy for an employer to read.

We check claims before we pay them. Applications fired off to hit a number, roles you have no interest in, duplicates, or anything that reads as padding will not count towards your 20 and will not be paid.

This is not a trick to catch people out. The guarantee exists because we think quality applications get interviews. If the applications are not quality ones, there is nothing for us to stand behind.

Common questions

What if I send more than 20?

Keep going. More applications is the point. The guarantee triggers at 20 and sending more only improves your odds of an interview.

Can I claim this every month?

No. It is one claim per account.

What if an application has a CV / Resume Fit below 4?

Send it anyway if you want the role. It just will not count towards the 20.

Do applications I send outside Shoutt count?

No. We can only stand behind the ones we help you send.

What if the interview invitation arrives after I have claimed?

No problem. Keep the £50 / $70 and go and prepare!

Does claiming cost me anything later?

No. It has no effect on your success fee if and when you land a role.
