How interview prep works
How interview prep works
When you get an interview, Shoutt builds you a preparation pack specific to the company and role you are going into. It is not generic coaching. Everything in it is built around what you are actually about to walk into.
What's in the pack
Company research. We pull together background on the company, recent news, culture, and similar roles, so you arrive knowing the context a well-prepared candidate would know.
Interview format guidance. Where we can identify the likely format from the job description and what we know about how the company hires, we outline what to expect at each stage. Where we cannot, we flag what to ask the recruiter to confirm.
Standard interview questions. We prepare suggested answers to the most common questions for that role type, written around your actual CV and experience. Tell me about yourself, why this role, why now, salary expectations, and others. These are starting points for you to adapt in your own voice, not scripts to memorise.
STAR stories. For competency-based questions, we identify the most relevant situations from your background and help you structure them with a clear situation, task, action and result. Where numbers are missing or could be stronger, we flag them for you to fill in.
Questions to ask the interviewer. A set of smart, role-specific questions that show genuine understanding of the company and the challenge.
Interview tips and logistics. Practical guidance on how to perform well on the day, whether the interview is online or in person, covering everything from how to pace your answers to what to bring.
When do I get it?
The prep pack is generated and sent to you when you confirm an interview through Shoutt. It is specific to that role and that company, not a generic template.
What it is not
The pack gives you everything you need to prepare thoroughly. It does not replace your own preparation. Reading it, adapting the answers in your own words, and practising out loud will always make a difference.
